Redstone Golf Club is located in Humble,Texas, just north ofHouston.  The facility has 36 holes of championship golf consisting of a Rees Jones designed, Tournament Course, and a Jacobsen/Hardy designed Member Course, the former home of the Shell Houston Open from 2002-2005.  The Tournament Course is the current home of the Shell Houston Open since 2006 and is widely considered as one of the top conditioned courses on the PGA Tour.  We are currently looking for an assistant superintendent for both of the courses.
 
Requirements:
-          BS degree (preferred) or Associate degree (accepted) in Turf Management or related field
-          Minimum of 1 year experience as an Assistant or Second Assistant at a high quality facility
-          Texas Pesticide Applicator license or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment
-          Overseeding experience (preferred)
-          Experience with ultradwarfBermuda greens (Miniverde and Tifeagle)
-          Team player – ability to interact with management and other staff members in a cooperative and professional manner
-          Fine eye for detail and initiative – ability to recognize and act on the small details that sets a golf course a part from the others
-          History of good work ethic, honesty, and responsibility
-          Spanish communication – ability to communicate is an extreme asset

Responsibilities:
-          Assist in planning, supervising, and training the maintenance employees
-          Assist in proper timing and application of all fertilizer and chemical applications
-          Manage and maintain irrigation and drainage systems as well as daily management of irrigation computer and planning
-          Instruct staff on proper operation and maintenance of mowing and other equipment
-          Assists in interviewing, hiring, training, and supervising a staff of employees for the purpose of maintaining the property
-          Maintain accurate and complete records on payroll, weather, applications, etc.

Primary Responsibilities:

Creates the weekly schedule of grounds crew personnel and directs them in the day-to-day needs of the course.
